“Just like a tattoo, I’ll always have you.” Well, maybe not always. The supposed permanence of tattoos makes for a nice symbolic sentiment, but what are you supposed to do when you realize that the tattoo of your ex’s name was a mistake? Luckily, tattoos aren’t as permanent as you may have thought. At Alazzo Med Spa, we offer tattoo removal in the most comfortable setting possible. Here’s how we can help you put your tattoo mistakes behind you.
How Tattoo Removal Works
The technology used for tattoo removal is similar to the technology used for laser hair removal. Through a process called selective photothermolysis, a Q-switch laser targets the pigment of your tattoo, breaking it up to be removed by the body without harming the surrounding skin. The laser pulses in a nanosecond range, which is necessary for optimal effectiveness. To target the different colors of your tattoo, different wavelengths of light are used. Any color of ink except white can be lightened or removed using this technique.
Moving on Takes Time
In order to obtain optimal results, patients generally require between six and ten treatments. High amounts of ink and darker skin types generally require the most treatments.
Unfortunately, moving on isn’t always comfortable, either. Some patients find tattoo removal to be more uncomfortable then having the tattoo applied. At Alazzo Med Spa, your comfort is our priority. We put you at ease as much as possible by applying recommended topical anesthetics and using a Zimmer Cooler during treatment.
