The Accountability Factor

We all know that the road to weight loss isn’t an easy one and it surely isn’t a straight shot. However, much like life’s many other journeys, the road can be much better when you have someone to share the trip. Not only is it great to share the experience with someone but it is even better to have someone holding you accountable.

Two Types of Accountability

When you’re out to make a big change, there are several ways that you can be held accountable but we’d like to focus on two. One – the person who does it with you and two – the person who you report back to.

The person who does it with you

Having a workout partner can double your performance according to a study done comparing those who worked out alone and with partners. This is huge! Not only can working out with a partner make you more likely to show up, it also makes you perform better. Instead of doing cardio for 10 minutes, you are more likely to do cardio for 20 minutes with a partner. Not to mention that a partner can help spot you and make sure your form is right when you get fatigued.

If you can’t find a workout buddy, you can always get a personal trainer. A personal trainer might not be lifting or doing cardio with you but they will educate you about exercising and show you how to do your exercises correctly and in a way that will benefit YOU the most. They will also keep you accountable for showing up on time and completing your workout with your best effort.

The person who you report back to

Some of us choose not to have a workout buddy or a personal trainer and may choose to be held accountable from someone that we don’t want to let down. This may be a friend who has been successful in their weight loss journey or a health and wellness coach that is helping you be more fulfilled in areas of your personal health and wellness. Regardless of who it is, this person will praise you for your progress and motivate you to keep going.

Alazzo Med Spa and Accountability

At Alazzo Med Spa, we are the person you report back to with an added bonus. We have a customized weight loss program that not only holds you accountable, giving you better results, but we also help you identify why you gained weight in the first place. There are numerous weight loss programs that help you lose weight and we feel that many are so unsuccessful because these programs don’t identify the cause of your weight gain. We help you correct the underlying issue so that gaining weight back is not inevitable. After we do several analyses and create a program specifically for you, we will provide continuous monitoring and support throughout your program to help you achieve optimal results.
