Step 1
Your Consultation
Whatever brings you into Alazzo Med Spa, your visit is going to start with a thorough consultation. We discuss your medical history and the symptoms you’ve been experiencing. If your provider determines that BHRT is a good fit for you, you will first have your blood drawn after fasting and then your provider will prescribe BHRT and work with you to determine the appropriate treatment for you.
Step 2
The Treatment
On the day of insertion you will be given a local anesthetic to numb an area around your hip/ top buttocks. Once this has taken affect a small incision will be made in this area. An instrument will be painlessly inserted and the pellets (which are about the size of a grain of rice) will be inserted through the instrument and nestled in the fat. A series of steri-strip type bandages will be placed over the area to be removed in 4-5 days. During that time you will be instructed not to do anything strenuous. Nor soak the area in a tub or pool. You may shower. Specific instructions will be given to you at the time of discharge.
Step 3
Aftercare and Follow-up
Your provider will ensure you have a thorough understanding of everything you should expect after your BIHRT pellet insertion. Typically, 4 to 5 weeks after insertion of the pellets we ask that you repeat the hormone levels of your blood work. This gives us an idea of how you are feeling in relation to your blood levels.
